We check everyone’s details with fraud prevention agencies. If anyone gives us false or inaccurate information or we suspect fraud, we record this. We and other organisations use such records, together with records which relate to members of your household and those with whom you are financially linked, to make decisions about credit. This information will also be used to prove identity, for money laundering prevention and fraud prevention purposes. If you require details of the credit reference agencies from which we obtain, and with which we record information about you, please call us on 0871 384 1004. Our lines are open from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 9 am to 6 pm, Sunday. Maximum price per minute to BT customers is 8 pence. Prices of calls from non-BT lines or mobiles may vary. The rate is typical 29.8% APR (variable). If you do not keep your personal account up to date and fall behind with payments, we reserve the right to make an administration charge for the costs we incur in dealing with any breach of the credit agreement (this will typically be £12 or less). This may include the costs of sending you a reminder letter or any other type of letter, the costs of dealing with a cheque that bounces or any other failed method of payment, the costs we incur in transferring your account to a debt collection agency, or any other costs we incur. | Recycling Matters We support the WEEE directive to promote the re-use, recycling and recovery of waste electrical items that should be recycled. Although we do not operate a take-back system ourselves, we have joined the Distributor Take Back Scheme (DTS), our registration ID being 3267. The DTS has financed the development of recycling collection points (known as ‘Designated Collection Facilities’) across the UK through the membership of the DTS. You can find your local recycling centre by looking online at www.recycle-more.co.uk and entering your town or postcode in the bank locator, or alternatively you can contact your local authority. The website also contains lots of useful hints to help you reduce waste, recycle rubbish and re-use household items you may have otherwise thrown away. | Data Protection bonprix is committed to complying with all applicable data protection legislation. We will make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with credit information as well as information from the Electoral Register. The agencies will record details of the search and whether or not credit is granted. We may use credit-scoring methods to assess your application and to verify your identity. Credit searches and other information which is provided to the credit reference agencies, about you and those with whom you are financially linked, may be used by us and other companies if credit decisions are made about you or other members of your household. This information may also be used for debt tracing and the prevention of money laundering as well as the management of your account. Information held by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to members of your household and those with whom you are linked financially. For the purposes of credit scoring, you may be treated as financially linked and you will be assessed with reference to any associated records. If we enter into a credit agreement with you we will also supply details of your agreement with us to the credit reference agencies, as well as any ongoing details of your account and how you manage it. If you do not repay on time or in full we will tell the credit reference agencies who will record details of the debt. All this information will be seen by other organisations carrying out later searches. You have the right of access to your personal record held by credit and fraud prevention agencies. We will supply their names and addresses upon request. We, the credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies may also use the records for statistical analysis about credit, insurance and fraud. We may make periodic searches of Group records, credit reference and fraud prevention agencies to manage your account with us, to take decisions regarding credit, including whether to make credit available or to continue or extend existing credit. These searches will not be available to other lenders for credit assessment purposes. We may share your personal data with other organisations. We or they may contact you for marketing purposes by mail or telephone. If you no longer wish to receive our catalogues and/or other information from us or other organisations, please inform us by calling our customer hotline or by writing to bonprix, P.O. BOX 1197, Liverpool, L69 3NS stating your full name, postal address and customer number. All the information covered by data protection applies equally to the customers of agents. In particular, the placing of orders for delivery to your address or an address other than your agents may result in a credit reference agency search being conducted, which will be recorded. We may disclose your information to our third party service providers. If you fall behind with your payments, we reserve the right to impose and administrative charge to cover the cost of any action we may take. We may randomly monitor and record your calls to help to ensure we provide you with the highest level of service possible and to maintain our quality standards. Should you require any further information, or have any questions about data protection, please contact us by writing to bonprix, P.O. BOX 1197, Liverpool, L69 3NS. |
